Functional Genomics

About Functional Genomics
The Functional Genomics Unit employs high-throughput technologies for gene expression, SNP, and microbial metagenome analysis. The unit offers services for a number of advanced technologies including Standard Biotools microfluidics qPCR, SNP and amplicon sequencing; Illumina SNP and Methylation Bead Array; as well as traditional qPCR and DNA/RNA quality control. Amplicon sequencing for microbial community analysis is offered with short read Illimina sequencing for 16S regions or with PacBio for full length 16S or Fungal ITS-LSU sequencing. Equipment includes Nanodrop, Qubit, 96 Capillary Agilent Fragment Analyzer, Thermo-Fisher QuantStudio 7, Molecular Devices iD3 Fluorescence, UV and Luminescence plate reader, Standard Biotools, Biomark HD and Juno. Our team includes Ph.D. and M.Sc. level scientists with close to 50 total years of experience in molecular biology.
