ADM (NYSE: ADM) celebrated the grand opening of the new ADM Science and Technology Center at the University of Illinois Research Park on September 23, 2022. Electric Power Engineers, a global power system engineering and consulting firm, has opened an innovation center at the University of Illinois Research Park. This is the company’s first operation in the state of Illinois. EPE offers comprehensive services and proprietary solutions spanning utility engineering, grid and resource integration, reliability and compliance, and software and grid analytics, EPE’s client-centric approach delivers unmatched expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Research Park celebrated the grand opening of the newly constructed Brunswick i-Jet Lab. This larger lab will allow room to grow and collaborate as Brunswick i-Jet continues their focus on generating creative solutions in boating autonomy, connectivity and electrification.

On October 12, 2020, Verizon opened a 5G Innovation Hub at Research Park in EnterpriseWorks creating a workspace with a resource dedicated to assisting startups, corporations, and students for ground-breaking technological innovation. “We are proud to have the first such innovation hub at a university research park or incubator, and believe it will enhance our technology community and campus as a whole.” – Susan Martinez, Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Genective recently opened its new world headquarters at the University of Illinois Research Park; with it, the grand opening was celebrated by the University, Genective, and their partners with the hopes of leading the way in innovation and research. With entities and activities in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Genective is currently dedicated to the research, development, and commercialization of transgenic traits. Procter & Gamble recently opened its state-of-the-art Smart Lab at the University of Illinois Research Park. The University, Procter & Gamble, and their partners celebrated the grand opening of the Smart Lab, which will bring together interdisciplinary teams of students from a wide variety of backgrounds to rapidly prototype and innovate in the space of consumer insights.
