AgTech Summit 2020

On March 4, 2020, the Agriculture Technology Innovation Summit 2020 highlighted the AgTech located within the University of Illinois Research Park. The Park houses multiple corporate innovation centers, including Bayer, John Deere Tech Innovation Center, ADM Modeling Center, and Country Financial DigitaLab. AgTech startups such as EarthSense, LifeFoundry, and IntelinAir also participate in this event. Mark your calendar for this year’s summit to hear about the continuous AgTech developments at the Research Park.

OUTSIDE at the Research Park 2019

OUTSIDE at the Research Park on July 19, 2019, was co-hosted by the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Zécca Bom and Alma Afrobeat Ensemble kept the crowd energized with a mix of funk, m’balax, and hip hop, and food trucks like Sidney Dairy Barn’s Moo Mobile and Chester’s BBQ provided great food. Visitors of the Research Park table helped beautify the Park by drawing what they’d like to see added on its campus, like more bike trails, flower gardens, and ice cream stands.

Research Park celebrates multiple holidays throughout the year. From Diwali to Pi Day, there are plenty of opportunities to destress and socialize with other people within the Research Park. Complimentary refreshments and food are typically available at these events. Keep an eye on the calendar to stay up-to-date on what celebration will be held next.

PYGHACK Hackathon 2017

Research Park’s first hackathon included students and community members to create software projects within a 24-hour limit. Research Park After Hours at Siebel Center

Together with the Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering Departments, the University of Illinois Research Park hosted After Hours, a networking event, to showcase opportunities for tech jobs in Champaign-Urbana on March 18, 2014. Companies were encouraged to show off what tech projects are being done at their amazing companies. View the video here.
