Prabhu academic foundation was laid with a BS and MS in Biochemistry from Madurai Kamaraj University and Bharathidasan University, respectively, in, India. Following this, he earned his PhD in 2011 from the University of Madras, exploring the impact of antioxidants on the early phases of neoplastic transformation in Mice and Rats. Upon starting in the USA, he assumed roles as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in various research projects including, 1) Identifying the natural product deoxynyboquinone as a potent and personalized anticancer agent. 2) Characterization of novel immunomodulatory proteins encoded by parapox Orf virus. 3) Identification of Alpha herpesviruses (MDV) encoded proteins cause disease and transmit from host-to-host. At present, he serves as a Research Scientist position at the Cytometry to Omics Facility within the Carver Biotechnology Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
