Carver Metabolomics Core Summer Workshop 2023
The Carver Metabolomics Core Summer Workshop taking place at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus on August 14th and 15th will include hands-on training with metabolomics data covering data processing, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
Features of the Workshop:
• Introduction to metabolomics, including all concepts relevant to hands-on data processing and statistical analysis conducted later in the workshop
• Metabolomics data pre- and post-processing exercises using MS-DIAL software, as well as our lab’s own software MetaboFilter and Compound-QC
• Multivariate, univariate, and pathway and chemical enrichment analysis using MetX, MetaboAnalyst and ChemRICH
The course will be conducted in a smart classroom where each participant will have access to a computer containing all software required for the course. In addition to presentations, hands-on exercises will be performed that are supported by members of both the Carver Metabolomics Core and High-Performance Biological Computing (HPCBIO) Core.
We will only use open source software that will guarantee the ability of participants to conduct the processes learned during the workshop on their own afterwards.
The course fee is $250 per participant to cover expenses for instructors.
